1. How do I print a page count from my Pitney Bowes fax machine?
|
Each model of fax machine will be different. As we get feedback from users we will add specifics for each model. If your machine isn't listed here you can call Imagistics at 800-243-5556 and ask for technical support. They will ask for your model number and serial number before they tell you how to access the page count information. Once you find out, please e-mail us the information (support@PBfaxsupplies.com) and we'll add it below.

2. My Pitney Bowes toner cartridges seem to run out quickly. How many faxes should I be able to print with one cartridge?
|
Each type of toner cartridge has specifications for the expected number of pages it can print. There is a "standard" for calculating the number of pages (yield). The "mouse print" usually says that the prints contain 5% coverage on letter-size paper with printing on one side. It is not unusual for printed faxes to have a 10 - 20% coverage (especially the junk faxes advertising discount trips to Orlando).

3. How can you sell 100% new, 100% compatible supplies for our Pitney Bowes 1630 cheaper than they do?
|
We'll be the first to admit that Pitney Bowes sells great fax machines. However, we don't have the overhead that they do so when we figure out how to re-engineer other manufacturers' supplies to be 100% compatible we can provide these supply items at a significant discount!

4. Is it worth it to buy a service and supply contract on our fax machines?
|
This may be a call that may be tough to make, depending on if you've kept good records. Hopefully you'll have an information trail on service history and supply usage to help.
- How many service calls per fax machine in the last year? (estimate less than 20% of installed base)
- How much did the service and supply contract cost for the year?
- What supplies were used on each fax machine?
- How much would it cost to get the machines repaired if you paid for time and materials instead of a service contract? Our estimate is $150 - $250 on average per service call.
Ask for a price on a "service and parts ONLY" contract. Tell them that you would like to buy the supplies separately! Compare that price to the price of a "service, parts and supplies" contract!
